The literal Japanese translates to the even more dull sounding "Table Coordinator". "Table coordination" is the art of setting a table to look spectacular, choosing a center piece, dishes, food, etc. Unfortunately, English doesn't have anything that really matches. "Table coordinator" sounds like he's supposed to assign people tables. "Table Setter" sounds like his mom asked him to set the table. From there, we took a bit of a step "outwards" towards more associated concepts, such as interior decoration, and so, "the decorator"
