maybe because her character is so flimsy/wishy-washy that I had to look for character relationships to define her character. like her questionable intimacy with Ain, BUT it's not at all questionable. I just can't relate to the protagonist and it hasn't been conveyed so far. out of comic strips, her behavior is admirable BUT Ain's thought process is spelled out loud and clear but the protagonist's thoughts are always concern over someone else, doesn't she get tired, doesn't she want to explore? if transmigration was all she needed to have a personality change, just give her amnesia with a dose of "extra memories" so that she has existential crisises BC that would be be a good supplement to the over-arching "family bonding w/a new face"
Don't get me wrong, I love the Duke's and Ain's development, but heck even the prince, the king, and "heroine" character seems more interesting than the protagonist! would it kill to have limelight on all the characters?

even prop characters like the servants could "talk" about the lady to give her more character, it's atmosphere. they were antagonists at some point but that was it! flimsy antagonists just take up word count, they blend into the bg at this point. with how much meals they have, where's the goddamn chef?! Gordan Ramsay needs a word with him, because doesn't he at least get a comment on how he has to change meal schedules from before?

edit: I felt bad about the entire wall of text. the story is it's own. I love Ain and the Duke
