i think the shame is that we didn't get to see Ali's wedding in full. But I also get it. It's the Bride's story, and if Mori Kaoru wants to delve into it she would go further into Madina's backstory. In this situation though we're made to be invested in Ali so it's more of a neat tie off. Happy that he got someone who truly loves him.

In some cultures, the bride comes into the marriage with a great deal of jewelry and gold. Everything that she has on her person and sewn into her clothing is hers alone. It's meant to be an insurance policy of a sort so she can still be supported in case her husband dies.
