@Stalkerman do you even hear yourself? If a meteor lands there's no need for mana potions, there'll be no army left to fight against, also you talk about firing away until the wall energy ends but you forget that ammo reserves also have a limit, also no saboteurs can ever cross a force wall, it's literally a wall made of force that separates space, your saboteurs would have to be angels, demons, or gods to even have a chance of passing through.
Anti-magic jamming is only absolute in stories made by simpletons, in any reasonable setting, anti-magic is not absolute and can only applied on certain cases, because it makes 0 sense for complete magic nullification to exist, if you can interfere with the magical energies to interrupt a spell so can the mage tweak the formula to prevent that interruption.
Put this into you head, the problem with science is that it's made by simulating natural events, the need of using tools is both it's strenght and it's glaring weakness, crude machinery can be easily interrupted by the insertion of any object into it's cogs, electronic machinery will never be fully resistent to water, and a powerful electrical discharge can also destroy it because electrical resistence has a limit. Gun's have a limit in ammo, swords, axes lose their sharpness, maces are too heavy and whittle away at ones stamina faster than other weapons.
WHile on the other hand most modern stories handicap mages because they are by default way too powerful, the whole ceation of the mana system in games was made because in older stories mages were way too freaking powerful.
The cleric class and other magic classes were invented all to remove some of the power mages had, because originally magic was magic and any spellcaster could use literally any spell so long as he had the desire to learn it.
Modern mages can't even be taken seriously in many stories because they use many tropes that were made nerf mages, that actually make 0 sense whatsoever.
Examples:
"Mages can't use armor because they hinder their movements which break concentration to use spells".
Except that historical armors were made with the full intention of not hindering their wielders in combat
"Mages don't know how to fight because they dedicate themselves to their craft."
This implies that mages don't eat, don't shit, don't sleep and stay awake 24h studying magic, which is absolutely stupid because mages need physical training for their stamina, because casting spells is tiresome, meaning they could easily use combat training as their main exercise to gain that stamina, and it would even be more efficient too, as it helps them cast less spells when they don't need to.
"Spell jamming/Nullification exist"
In classical fantasy stories spell jamming and nullification happened by the use of counter-spells, which is the concept of casting spells with conflicting effects in order to naturally nullify both spells effects. Such as a lightning spell getting stopped by a stone wall, a fireball getting countered by an ice spell and so on. Nowadays they simply pull an ubiquitous magic nullification out of their asses with no explanation given and that universally works on all situations just because it can, It's just that amazing. It's pretty much the Mary Sue wet dream. And every one can use too, because humanity can instantly enter god's territory if it means nerfing spellcasters, but they still depend on primitive siege weapons, and melee weapons to wage wars, how very convenient.
Lastly, be reminded that siege weapons can't be used in all territories, magic can, Siege weapons can easily be sabotaged by an infiltrator, magic can detect infiltrators, even those who have the knowledge to sabotage modern security equipment, including infrared detectors, cameras, electric fences or sci fy laser walls. Yet infiltrators can't sabotage magic, because there's isn't just one spell to be used in detection, and only a couple can be interfered with.
Magic will always be superior to science because while science can easily replicate natural phenomena, they don't do so easily, it always require the use of complex machinery made with natural material of which anyone can sabotage with just the proper use of knowledge of it's composition or by simply stealing a machine's blueprint, magic can only be sabotaged by other mages because it usually works on rules that go against the natural order of the world, or sometimes even manipulates or simply ignores those laws completely. How could the laws of physics even hope to control that which it cannot affect?
And in case of "Magic is the same" rules, Magic is simply too advanced for the worlds current technology. They can be countered yes, but it requires a full plan involving dozens of people to counter a single mage, because in those stories magic does follow the same rules as science and so you can plan against them without having special mystical knowledge. Meanwhile if mages would in turn stand togething then those plans automatically fail, it'll become a story of army vs aliens essentially. Humanity against beings with superior technology. Except that mages all have the knowledge to easily "fix" or "repurpose" their "machines"(Magic, in this case), while soldiers have to depend on engineers and scientists to fix theirs. Meaning if a mage attacks a base and kill it's engineers and scientists, that army is doomed untill they get reinforcements.
