@Ruby19 If I understand it correctly, Elder has to kiss Dami to get his bead back and to avoid killing her (because the bead is absorbing her life force), but he's currently unable to or refusing to because of reasons that haven't been explained yet. He's been ambivalent about her for a while now; maybe we'll get a peek at his train of thought later on.

I think that elder is reluctant to kiss her simply because the act of kissing is not just a matter of absorbing “ life force”( or whatever is called) , but i think he started to view it as something romantic since she is someone he cares about and not just “food” . And second if he kisses her and retrive the sphere she won’t have any more motives to stay with him , since they would have accomplished the contract. That’s my take ....🤔
