Honestly, I think Kaede could sell them for a very large profit. She would be set for life, since that world is a bit screwed up and with how lonely women seem. I think Kaede will use them for some lonely and cold nights.

I'd probably change it to something like
"This is the first time I've used noise cancelling earphones... It's like all the surrounding sounds have completely disappeared" or "have just disappeared" (the former "completely disappeared" is my personal preference)
