They should've just used the teleport out scrolls once they found Jamie, but y'know, talking more important.Don't kill him! Keep him alive! Let him suffer for eternity in his new hideous form roaming the dungeon aimlessly like the monster he is!
I think you're giving him too much credit. If Simon wasn't bugfuck insane before getting snacked on by monsters he clearly was after. It's not much of a stretch for him to latch onto the idea of Yoke and co. looking for her and Yoke having some method of quickly doing so, or wanting to chase after Yoke to town so badly that he was teleported to the same floor with the fake town as Jamie and decided to wait and see if anyone came for her.So he didnt wound her in the stairwell and it was a wound reopening or somthing. I mentioned that I thought it was odd as if he managed to wound her she wouldn't have gotten away unless he let her, as she would have run the moment she saw him coming. And so if he wounded her it would mean he got the drop on her. But for him to have wounded her and let her go only makes sense if he knew about the teleporting as he would need her as a beacon. Which him being smart enough to figure that out is unbelievable. And if I have heard right this part of the story has been changed a bit in every version, so if it was he hurt her originally but let her go as bait and the author realized that made no sense as he would then have to be smart enough to figure the teleporting out. But this now also makes no sense, if he knew yoke was coming back for her, why on earth would he leave her alive, He just waited there without showing himself and gloating at her? No way, he would have messed her up while waiting. The reason she is alive is he needed her alive to be bait, but him knowing that was removed by changes. This is just sloppy writing leaving threads of the changes made.
But yeah this character has far outlasted his welcome. I have seen many stating its so he can be punished with a slow death, but I don't care anymore, most don't care anymore, we just want him gone at this point, the quicker the better. We have hated and wanted him gone for to long at this point the window of a satisfying death is long over. At this point I am worried about this series, the author need to let it move forward and make new content vs milking one enemy.
Oh that part I am in no doubt of, I'm in doubt he would just wait and watch her without harming her or worse. Him leaving her alive and not showing up in front of her to gloat and mess with her is self control he clearly doesn't have. The only reason that works at all for why he wouldn't is he knows she has to be alive, which is hard to believe he realized.I think you're giving him too much credit. The source novel is finished at 3 volumes, and this is chapter 77, so, well, you can do the math...At this point I am worried about this series, the author need to let it move forward and make new content vs milking one enemy.
