Hahaha seems like many people have this question, you could say it’s a choice of accuracy, like a Quality of life change, for example in the chapter 1 I read from KSManga the Party was named “Thunder Bike”, but I choose to TL it as “Thunder Pike” as given the katakana, サンダーパイク could indeed be interpreted as either “Thunder Pike” or “Thunder Bike,” depending on the context. In Japanese, パイク (paiku) can mean “pike” (a type of spear) or sometimes “bike” in certain contexts. The choice of TL then becomes based on Context, If there’s any additional context that suggests vehicles or motorbikes, then “Thunder Bike” would likely be the correct choice. If the context leans toward a weapon or fantasy setting, “Thunder Pike” would fit better (Which was why I choose to change the name of the party)

...They already changed the name of the party to Thunder Pike long ago, though.

So, long and short of it is: "I felt like changing up the name from Yoke to Yuke because that's my preference". Got it. Disagree with the outcome, but got it.

The short answer:

Yoke was a mistranslation by the previous group not corrected to keep consistency I guess

The long answer:

In katakana, his name is written as ユーク・フェルディオ (YU-KU・FUeRUDEiO)
Pronounced as it is written, it would be something like "You-coo Fe-rue-DIO" (I just HAD to do the reference)
What's more, because the "u" in "ku" or "su", and sometimes "ru", tend to sound silent to non-Japanese speakers depending on where it was written (same reason why we hear SUS-KE instead of SA-SUE-KE, or NARR-TO instead of NAH-RUE-TOE), it would be more like "Youk Fer-dio".

I dunno about you guys, but the first part of Yolk, oh sorry, "Yoke", don't sound like "yuu" or "you" to me.

If we're gonna make some quick comparisons, that would be like seeing this ルーク・スカイウォーカー (RU-KU・SUKAIUo-KA-), and translating it as "Loke Skywalker"... or "Look Skywalker" if you're feeling a little cheeky. The first one has completely wrong pronunciation, while the second one may sound right, but just look silly.

Converting katakana to alphabet is not as straightforward than it seems, more so with fantasy European-ish names.
Best one could do is figure out the language the name is inspired/derived from, then figure out how it would be spelled in that language. A clueless translator would look at, say for example, ディートリヒ and try to translate it to "Deetrihi" or something, not realize that it is German, and should be spelled as "Dietrich". (I'm looking at you, クライ・アンドリヒ/Cry Andolihy/Cry Andrich/Krai Andrey, or whatever you're supposed to be.) But even then, there's no guarantee that spelling was what the author intended.

Not sure if that's for the パイク / バイク thing, or for the whole wall-of-text of the long response (replying won't include anything inside [quote][/quote], you'd have to add those in manually), but if it helped out, then it's all good.

While we're at it, "Jamie" is ジェミー(Jemi-) in the raws and not ジェイミー(Jeimi-), but no one's complaining. It's also official, so it's fine, I guess.
