Probably MC rarely mentioned buff & debuff he use on his former party during battle causing them to mistaken that it's their own strength & getting carried away. Typical Banished-from-party fantasy trope

I dislike comparing the anime to the manga, but again the anime does a better job somewhat in depicting the fight and the characters. Yoke doesn't run out ahead of the party, he stays with them. After Marina uses her blade spell, he casts a renew mana spell on her, he doesn't sweep her off her feet. Rain and Silk help him gather the materials he's mining rather than have that talk with Marina. It shows them focused on completing the quest. Their feels come later.

Reading 1st volume of manga, yea i prefer earlier Anime episodes. Manga idle talks feels like cgdct with male guardian that's just as childish as his proteges. Girly Moe crush talks instead of helping mining ores. While Anime is just teenage Fantasy adventure that lack experience but knows basics & cite it without rash. They're just unfamiliar with Yuke improvisation of those fundamentals with his plethora artifacts.

Heard from YouTube comments that Manga have some longer fights & solo/duo quests than Anime tho, while some other said Anime kinda adapt LN pace instead of Manga
