i felt like this just came out of nowhere had at any point earlier during the world building explained the lore of this world pantheon id of let it slide but nope.
also i realised that this dungeon is just lazy way to avoid making new locations on a map since the labyrinth is constantly changing the writer doesnt even have to remember what was on what floor cause yolo

He says there's no time to use the escape scroll, but he throws out other scrolls left and right one after another. So far, I thought every scroll shown in this series had instant activation? Unless I forgot some dialogue in a previous chapter that said the exit scroll has a delay timer.

So the escape scroll hasn't been forgotten. But for some reason that's never been explained before, it's inconveniently unusable at the exactly the right moment and situation it's supposed to be used. Just throw it away then, fat lot of good this thing does for them. I have a hard time taking this arc seriously when this could have been avoided had they been ready to escape, like they should've since they knew full well this was a very dangerous dungeon; the situations feels so contrived and the drama feels so forced. Easily the worst chapter yet in this story.

Why couldn't it just have been Trash Pike to encounter this, it would've been more satisfying to see them get their comeuppance this way. I guess this arc is where this stops being satisfying to read, even if it's not particularly good. But I suppose I'll continue reading just because of morbid curiosity...

It does not makes sense no matter how much you think about it. A scroll of "OH SHIT WE'RE FUCKED" should not have a longer casting time than the combination of like 5 scrolls.

My issue is, that even if they were able to use it, I am like 99% sure, the moment they would use it, it would fail cause of some fucked up ass-puller reason. So in the end we would get the same exact situation, just with burned out exit scroll. Question is what is worse as a "fantasy" if you will.
