TL;DR
Basically a second comment section that is made specifically for reviews.

I often look through the comments when hesitating whether or not I should read a certain manga... only to find discussions that stray way off the topic of the manga or literal comments about the manga instead of reviews.

Those aforementioned examples in themselves are not wrong, since they are comments about the manga, but a review section of something alike MyAnimeList would quite efficiently solve the problem I introduced earlier.

@Pika A potato brings fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6 content, along with its prominent lack of cholesterol, which all brings forth heart health. Potatoes also contain significant amounts of fiber, which helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, thereby decreasing the risk of heart disease.

I totally did not plagiarize this from whatever comes first in a Google search for potato health benefits and changed a few words.

The fiber, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and phytonutrient content in eggplants all support heart health. Chlorogenic acid has been shown to decrease low-density lipid (LDL) levels. It also acts as an antimicrobial, antiviral, and anticarcinogenic agent. Polyphenols in eggplant have been shown to have anti-cancer effects. Findings from animal studies suggest that nasunin, an anthocyanin in the eggplant skin, is a powerful antioxidant that protects brain cell membranes from free radical damage. Research has suggested that the antioxidants in eggplant may help protect the liver from certain toxins.

Totally did not steal it from medicalnewstoday.com after googling eggplants health benefits

I voted broccoli because broccoli arc.

...and yes, I'd be in favour of something like this. This could be one area where the ability to rate comments might actually be good. I usually find looking at the score splits for the top "most helpful" reviews to be more informative about the quality of the manga than the raw score itself. The reader can then more quickly make a judgment about whether they agree with the reviewer or not, and whether the manga is worth checking out or not.

Though one thing I personally tend to be careful of is falling into groupthink (see also). I often have this itch to check out what other people think of a manga, but I try to go in and read it without any other opinions that may be subconsciously priming my experience of the work.

If the score distribution is particularly weird or if the score is a bit low, I usually submit to the urge to check out the comments first. Sometimes there's a really enthusiastic commenter talking about some aspect that they really enjoyed about the manga, and usually that's enough incentive for me to start reading the manga. So the priming isn't necessarily bad; it could have a positive effect (or a negative effect) on my experience reading a manga.

Have you tried comparing an unwashed potato to an unwashed eggplant? An unwashed potato fills your mouth with grainy sand and an unwashed eggplant taste just like an eggplant!
I totally can wash potatoes thoroughly

I don't even know what I just wrote

this would be helpful, diving into comments can be difficult finding out what people think overall
