Hey so, is it just me, or have these “schemes” they’ve been pulling on her kind of.. too basic? to be honest, I was expecting things to be a bit more extreme… do they really think someone of her caliber would crumble over these childish accusations and whatnot?

I suppose that's the point, that these kids are too simple and naive to actually plan their schemes properly, and it's precisely because they're idiots that they easily fell for the saintess's acting. Everyone else already pointed out that the villains are basically antagonizing one of the most prestigious noble in the kingdom that's also packing the firepower of a war tank. And unlike the idiot from the previous chapter, this girl's not even particularly close to the saintess's group to receive protection from her or the prince, she's just a nobody that's simping from afar.

But yes, it is tiring to see another false accusation and have everyone go, "BWUHH SHE'S LE EBIL???" despite Lunaria already being very publicly falsely accused just a month ago. Hopefully this second attempt will cause the students and teachers to grow enough braincells to realize someone is trying to jeopardize Lunaria's reputation and will be more skeptical towards any future attempts.
