I enjoy when an author appreciates scanlators. Authors are well in their right to not like them, but I feel like more attention to their work is a good thing, especially for something that likely wouldn't have ever been read in another language officially.

I don't think someone who replies nicely like that is gonna bait and switch NTR into their web comic. Doing that would be mean-spirited to what few followers they have, and that's an understatement. I think we're safe here.

They're gonna get flamed real hard if NTR bait and switch actually happens, and I'm talking about the Japanese followers, they're not gonna be shy about that. CMIIW but apparently the author of "Zutto Otokonoko da to Omotte ita Gakitaishou ga Onnanoko deshita" basically disappeared off Twitter, after their comic started gaining backlash; and that one doesn't even have NTR in it.

That's gonna be real bad for an artist who's new like Ashito-sensei. I'll choose to trust them.

Oh sure, but if it's an indie work that has or will be translated into english, I can see why that'd drive a creator just right up the wall - they haven't got that publisher buffer and it would feel like you're the one being directly stolen from.
