I really like this story but I'm kind of waiting for them to show real emotions

@cherokeemoon My take on it is that both of them are the type to be pretty chill(heh) when it comes to showing their emotions on their face. Like, most people would react to a surprise with "WOAH!" while both of them would instead go "Woah." They still feel the same feeling of surprise, but their reactions seem quiet and reserved. The problem here is that both of them are like that, so it doesn't seem like there is much happening.

...Stoic! That's the word. They're both fairly stoic people. I couldn't think of the word at first.

@Grerutin you probably read the MTL version in one aggregator site. The MTL one is until late 30-ish so you'll probably be familiar with the chapters til then.

Lmao what a story.

Shithead god decides to bring endless winter for no reason, shoves all the responsibility to some random girl and tells her to keep the seed for 2 months.

Everyone hates on the girl and she dies, people find out and are totally 100% super-duper sad, but hey at least winter is gone!

And absolutely no one learned anything from all of this and an innocent girl died. The end.

Sure hope that flower story is just a myth and not actual history, because...what a garbage story. In that sense, isn't it kind of an awful flower to give to others? On one hand you could say it could signify devotion, on the other hand an innocent girl literally died before she gained any respect for those to grow. I wonder if the light novel that explains the lesson to be learned here a little better, because all I can see here is that you have to be an actual martyr to gain respect, and the original cause of the problem just goes on consequence-free.

Lmao yeah her parents are so "wise"
but now that MC is here they are completely incapable of keeping up the business and their family reputation and let the spoiled sister ruin it all, sure.

Talk about a slow burn. Interestingly enough, I don't actually mind it.

That's not really her stopping a jackass god so much as it is a jackass god making a problem and dumping it on her. Reminds me of a greek god.

Either way, I guess it kinda suits Anathasia since everyone back home blames and misunderstands her for her efforts to help and nobody is going to appreciate her until she's gone.
"Wise" indeed...

While the story itself is tragic I can see why it's a good tale to pass on:

1. Highlights the need to not be quick to judgement
2. While the girl knew she was receiving unjust treatment, she bravely endured even to death to save people's lives. While you can just slap a martyr label on her, I think you could also interpret her as a symbol of love, compassion and courage. She had to really love others at heart to be willing to go that far for them. If the people had imitated her qualities, she wouldn't have met such a sad end.
3. The flowers blooming on her grave could symbolize something beautiful being able to come from hardship/tragedy. Maybe bringing to mind the idea of hope and resiliency.

Well, except for random dead girl. Sucks to be her.
