I don't get why they were saying so much shit about the place just because it's cold. Okay, I am much more a sun summer person, but I am not going out my way to say how stupid snow or cold places are because of it.

@Psychronia Hardly the case, because she was promised to someone else at the time. He didn't specify who he asked for married and Athanasia marriage arrangement broke off after the letter (and from what it suggested, was because Athanasia's fiance liked her sister or something, but I can't be sure). It wouldn't be right of him to ask Athanasia's hand when she was promised to someone else, so they mostly was referring to the sister.
Maybe the reason he didn't specify is because he doesn't care. Like Athanasia, he is doing his duty, so if his marriage is going to help his kingdom, it doesn't matter who is it, he is going to marry her.
But by the ways the story is title and is going (and by the raws, because I couldn't stop myself) their relationship is just going to improve 😍

im waiting for her family to end up going to the wedding and the little sister will all of a sudden act like duke winterne was supposed to be her husband and start a ruckus. ugghhh i actually really want to like the little sister because she doesnt seem evil as much as she is just naive and immature. she seems like she has good intentions (thinking about the commoners) but obvious with the society they live in she has to play a certain role, so hoping that with athanasia leaving the house she has to learn the lesson of picking up everything her older sister did and matures into a better person
