Super nice to see these Volume 6 chapters in a manga format, I loved reading these Shimamura chapters in the LN


Maybe you shouldn't read obvious future spoilers for a series that you've been reading for years? That spoiler was part of a short story that was published around the release of Volume 8~9, which is very far into the story and still a fair bit away from where we are in the manga atm, so there's a lot of context and development that you lose by just reading a statement in a spoiler. Don't label something garbage when you were the one that chose to spoiler future events for yourself lmao.

And fwiw, I do agree that, on the surface, that statement does sound very bad, even awfully cold of her. But statements can be taken out of context and the core focus of the LN is about intertwining two girls with very complex personalities and emotions. Will try not to overly ramble about it here, but I think that if you were to read the full novel, then read the short story, it'll suddenly read a lot less harsh, or "garbage", than how it appears on the surface. Context and understanding is very important

Keep enjoying your oh so deep character study. I already dropped this. There is no way in heaven that the payoff will be worth for all this stupid shit i had to read until now. No amount of handholding, kissing and lovey-dovey romance(if any?) will salvage this fuckup of a series. Things you might like are things others wont. And up until now i hated pretty much everything, while others praise it. I just dont enjoy it. And it seems i wont enjoy it in the future either. 1/10.

the last chapter of the side novel released with the anime features a flash forward to shimamarus last week of her life, she ponders her life and adachis death and when thinking abour adachis funeral she says she cried a lot

this is probably my favorite volume of the light novel, and i'm incredibly glad that the manga has finally reached this point!

while shima's with her grandparents, she is much more immersed in her thoughts, thinking about herself as a holistic person with emotions and feelings, about the need and timeliness of showing sincerity, and also constantly thinking about the cycle of life and death. this volume takes her thoughtfulness and introspection to a new level, which further shows her depth as a character. so i'm looking forward to the new chapters of the manga :')

Ok... I feel like this is a facet of Shimamura that we haven't seen before. From her being so reflective about the possibility of death with Gon to her insecurities regarding the death of the other doggo. And also her being so openly honest about loving something... or rather someone.

Honestly I relate to Shima a lot in not being able to remember much about how I felt or reacted to the death of close relatives and friends.

This is one of the worst written manga’s I’ve read in a while. I’d rather the plot go full Gal Cleaning than whatever drama porn we are getting.
