HERE IT IS! The moment the series changes forever. BTW, this was the ending of Vol. 6 of the LN. The author originally planned to end it at Vol. 12, but recently announced it will go further. What's interesting to me is that, even in the original plan, half of the series would feature those two actually dating. What was that about Yuri works always ending when the main characters get together?

As for how much the manga is going to cover, I know it's hard for a manga to cover the LN until the end, but I wish we at least finished adapting Vol. 8 before ending this manga. I really like the ending of that volume, and I think it could work as THE ending for an adaptation. But if we can go even further, that's great too.

Hope Urasekai Picnic has the same mindset in adaptation.

I like that there getting together but this just rubs me the wrong way 😕 Shimamura is probably a sociopath so she probably never will love Adachi full on without forcing herself to do so. (I didn't read the LN so lmk if it's correct)
I just think that Shimamura needs to address her other problems before trying to date + she was a little TOO nonchalant about getting confessed and flat out IGNORED Adachi's confession until Adachi was straight forward 😭

And Adachi being very needy and possessive isn't an issue? Pipe it down, they both have their issues, Shimamura has never been emotive or good at expressing herself, she might enjoy being mean to Adachi a bit too much, though, but that's part of her distorted way of showing affection.

Lmao the writing isn't amazing but I think Shimamura's feelings are realistic enough even if her reaction isn't. This feels like the beginning of an even more melodramatic relationship. Adachi is winning and that is all that matters. Autism W.

this manga feels like a good representation of avoident attachment vs anxious attachment

This is such a Shimamura reaction to the confession. I love it, like you get mixed feelings because you see Adachi your favourite autistic blorbo clearly run the gamut of rejection emotions thanks to Shimamura's detachment but then it wouldn't be Shimamura if she accepted it enthusiastically.
It's kind of perfect for her, for them. And Adachi got the yes anyway she's probably over the moon and gets to be clingy and confused over how romantic she can be now. Shimamura gets to see how many wonderfully illustrated Adachi faces she can wring by teasing her now partner.

With that said, I thought it was a great chapter.

But some of y'all are just as unaware of how much Shimamura likes Adachi as she is herself. There's a reason they highlighted the fact that Shimamura put on a yukata this time (as opposed to last time) just to make Adachi happy.

Sociopath? Lol. Read this maybe it’ll elucidate you about the characters.
To answer your LN question Shima does fall in love with Adachi, she even says so. In death, Shima chose to stay with Adachi in the afterlife over Gon and her grandparents if that tells you anything.
