Same honestly, Id've never expected her to put effort into this relationship while she's actively calling it a handful and sacrificing relationships with literal childhood friends. The dedication is astonishing.this title is still wild to me, likely because I just keep half-expecting Shimamura to throw in the towel on Adachi--though I pray she never does, all the same.
It's a strange dynamic, in that it's simultaneously heartening and heart-wrenching.
But I'm glad it's continuing because I so want to see the ending of it all. Whatever that may be.|
I used to be a bit of an Adachi.Same honestly, Id've never expected her to put effort into this relationship while she's actively calling it a handful and sacrificing relationships with literal childhood friends. The dedication is astonishing.
I think it works for her exactly because Adachi is relentlessly pushy.Same honestly, Id've never expected her to put effort into this relationship while she's actively calling it a handful and sacrificing relationships with literal childhood friends. The dedication is astonishing.
Yes! I relate a lot to Adachi too. I turned out to be a bit of a difficult person through high school and seeing Shima being that patient with Adachi made me wish I had some one like that during that time. Realistically people WILL move on from a relationship like this so I constantly hope for these two to work this out. I have faith Adachi will overcome her insecurities and have a proper relationship with Shimamura.I used to be a bit of an Adachi.
I wish I had a Shimamura during that time in my life, and so I hope these two let me see what a happy ending of that 'me' could have looked like.
But I have a weird sense of mirror empathy for Shimamura because of that and keep catching myself thinking "yeah girl, I'm not worth this. Go be happy, seriously."
If you want to find out the ending already, then read the light novel (LN). Volume 99.9 of the LN (which released after Volume 11) contains the absolute ending to the series. Although Volume 8 of the light novel originally contained an ending to the series, the author ended up redoing the ending in the aforementioned Volume 99.9, which is a bit confusing. Nonetheless, I definitely think the LN is worth reading, especially since you get to see all the characters‘ internal monologue. Shimamura is shown in a much better light in the LN, and it’s much more obvious there that she is madly in love with Adachi after they start dating.this title is still wild to me, likely because I just keep half-expecting Shimamura to throw in the towel on Adachi--though I pray she never does, all the same.
