The mc sounds like he'd fit the DQ description of a Sage. Has healing magic, offensive magic, can fight on the front line and not as good in any one of those areas as a more specialized person. Even so, it means he brings a massive degree of flexibility to any fight and can adjust to fit a number of different roles as the situation demands. On top of that he is good enough to be an S-rank (there is a reason their are so few of them compared to the total number of adventurers) and is capable of strategic and tactical command in a fight. And they want to kick him out?!? All I can say is I wish I was there so I could try to recruit him on the spot (and treat the other three like non-entities while doing so).

so the "hero" party fails spectacularly because they don't have good strategies anymore. The mc helps out the guild. The hero's party tries to persuade the hero to ask him back but he's too stubborn and hates the dude. the kingdom regrets firing him buts its too late.

@danceofmany : about Gustav
I looked through the first couple WN "Hero Party" side chapters. He is the first to leave/quit the party.
Their first dungeon dive, the "Hero" ordered him to switch from his primary weapon (large needs room to swing but high damage type) to a dagger. Because the hero nearly got hit since he has no awareness of the other party members and does not know how to share the front line with no one telling him where to move to be able to attack and not get hit.

But still, anyone who is OK with a dismissal that includes death threats, including pulling a weapon on someone who is only talking, is not a good person and deserves some punishment down the line.

A hero who can kill their party member at the bat of a eye..
*Reminiscing about the RPGs that can hoard battle exp with dead party members..*
Seems pretty dangerous if this is a world without churches capable of reviving..

A yes, a classic "hero". Considering he drew his weapon on an unarmed man in the middle of a tavern and threatened to commit murder publicly, I wouldn't be surprised if the "hero" also threatened the priestess and mage into not saying anything.
At least the other two party members didn't join in on the uselessness rant. the new guy doesn't seem to know any better but he also is wearing a metal bucket on his head, so...

Welp, here we go again. MC kicked from the hero party cuz the party is too stupid to recognize the MC's role value...

MC: basic MC

“Hero”: Dipshit who’s strong

Party members: the bullied kids

New guy: Adventure game NPC, somehow the nicest guy in the manga

right, as if just killing another adventurer, S rank for that matter, would easily slide by the guild and the others.

It is really sad that the introduction always is so trash... sure, as if he could just kill an A or S Rank adventurer and everything would be fine... (and talks about it publicy in a tavern where 20 people hear it... as the "hero"... lul)

one trash hero with forgettable party members comming right up

if he has enough authority to inadvertenly get knowledge about his mates thats worth killing him for then maybe throwing him out is a bad idea
so you got the basic 3 roles tank spank and heal in his party with him being the offensive-tank/dd/healer to complete the set basicly your emergency druid for that 10 sec window when your in an 8hour raid and your healer snoozes off leading to your tank going out of commission until he gets a revive and someone screamed obseceneties at the healer

and the hero throws him out in trade for a tank knight....
what a pussy hero getting himself a protector so he can play dd
got complains about how everything is on your shoulders? your the hero deal with it

i know i know its kind if the point to make the hero and his party hateful but the author didnt even try to make those 3 somewhat less hateful
and going by the amount of work the artist/author spent on them i guess the only one we might see again later is the hero

What kind of hero publicly announces that they’d arbitrarily murder a comrade just because? And why would that guy keep arguing to stay when his comrades are obviously trash?

This is a really bad setup. And obviously the MC was the super strategist that even allowed them victory so are they going to come back apologetic or with a “it’s all your fault” attitude I guess lol

What always bothers me about stories like that, is parties thinking they should have exactly 4 people. Do they think they're living in a videogame? If you're planning to challenge the Dark Lord and his armies, it's perfectly fine to bring a small army if you can get it. At least, it's no problem to bring 4 extra hobbits like in Lord of the Rings.

Typical stupid hero party. Would make sense if they did a mission without the MC to see if their group dynamics works without the person they are trying to fire. Also from how they introduced the MC, it is clear that he plays the commander role in the party.

This time the hero who dismisses the protagonist seems cartoonishly hostile
