I mean yeah there was an obvious personality change but like come on. This guy is still human, there's now way he would be sane after being alone for 3000 years.

Reminds me of another manga where the kid pushed the button to keep training in an alternate universe where time didn't flow but where he would return from that world unaware of what he had done except maintain the muscle memory of his accumulated sword technique until he became so crazy from his untold billions or trillions of years in confinement in an alternate universe cursing his dumbass self that was unaware of the torturous mental strain he kept putting himself in from sending himself into that dimension that he learned how to cut dimensions just to escape the madness and break the button by doing so and returned completely unaware of how absolutely stupidly powerful he became.

I think it's referencing Battaman, the stage of transformation in Kamen Rider Black. When Kamen Rider Black transforming you will see this Battaman appearing between changing from human form to the Kamen Rider form. Kinda like humanoid grasshopper stage.

everyone's commenting on his personally change, but i gotta ask:
his stats didn't change in the 3k years he practiced swordsmanship for, yet he his clearly much more dexterous and physically strong (you can't just slice through exoskeleton with a stick without having some level of strength).
unless stats don't actually represent your strenght and is instead a boost? which would be stupid and also disregard the entire premise of his skill at the start
