Oh the ortolan, that's a real story. They used to eat these birds that were fattened up and then drowned in brandy. They would then eat them whole. Which is partially why the napkin was put on the head they think, cuz it is really gross to watch someone eat a bird whole and it was less messy that way. But hiding your sin from God is far more poetic than not wanting to see someone chug a bird

I just finished reading the raws on another website and it does have a proper ending. Just wanted to mention this in case anyone was confused because the story hasn't wrapped up yet!

Hopefully we get a proper translation soon. If no one else picks this up I've been thinking of translating it myself if that's something other people would be interested in? (Disclaimer: I've never scanlated before but I'd be willing to give it my best shot because I ended up loving this story so much!)
