Bicycle repairman was actually the very first sketch Python did. It was inherited from Palin, Idle and Jones' former series "Do not adjust your set". Another classic, "Four Yorkshiremen" was first done in Cleese and Chapman's former show "At last the 1948 show", with Marty Feldman and Tim Brooke-Taylor (who was offered a place in Monty Python, but refused).Reminds me of an old Monty Python sketch; "No need to thank me. It's all in a day's work for . . . bicycle repairman!"
