I check on the mental status of the 2 drones being pursued to see if they can continue on this course of action for a indefinite period of time, or would they prefer a escape plan for now to pull back, till a more effective weapon becomes available, or an opportunity to catch them by surprise presents itself.

During the time the drones were entertaining the bugs, I had the remaining salvage drones move the escape pod to a new concealed location guided by the sensor drone's mapping data. A location within reach of scanners, but still not on the robotics platform (still quarantined just in case.)

I set a path the dancing drones can negotiate at full speed into open space, to leave the bugs on their new space wreck chunk under long range observation till later.

Are the rounds the XDCD uses oldschool propellant and brass, consumable cartridge rounds, or a type of railgun fired projectile?

Problem is that would require you to restore power to a large section of hull and reseal it to be air tight.

They appear to be eating parts of the ship currently.

A mining laser and drill along with a set of scoopers to dump it into a onboard blue space compartment. They are less hardened steel and more dull iron.

It seems relatively okay with all the mofications you’ve made so far it should do for now in consuructiom now you’ll just need to gather the required metal and glass to patch the hull of the robotics room your in.

Checks into the specs of the mining laser, it's range and penetration capabilities.
Can the laser be fit on to a XDCD, or salvage drone?

Has the XDCD drone and salvage drone survey the escape pod to determine what repairs, and modifications would be needed to transform it into a closed atmosphere, robotics printer cabin.
Does it have propulsion and navigation equipment or was it just meant to drift about at random after it's release?

Attempt to find some corrosive bug goo, and test it on a bit of gold sheet. Normally gold is impervious to acid erosion.

The mining laser is 1000TWT power with about Range of 50 feet. And is wouldn’t be possible due to power constraints.

It would not be possible to reseal the escape pod due to its small size. And the escape pod is simply meant to fall or drift after release.

It seems to slightly resistant although after a couple minutes the gold bit begins to come apart.

This is rather simple menial labor.

A railgun requires a lot of power to fire, and I'm sure the salvage drones's welding/cutting plasma cutting functions would too, how do these compare to the power supply of a miner drone's laser? I check the miner drone to see if it uses a specialized power booster capacitor bank, or external power supply to use the laser.

I guess that means a printer would not fit in the escape pod's cabin even after the cryopods are removed. Can the escape pod be returned to a functional closed atmosphere unit for Robot repair, and modification procedures, without zero gravity, and open space complications.

Try a layered gold:cotton:gold combination for effectiveness as a shield against bug goo attacks.

So I now have 55/300 sheets of uranium? According to my estimates 55 sheets would be good for +200 days worth of power unless the scale is non linear as the number of sheets increase.

It appears that the mining drone has been modified as the laser is several times stronger then the normal blueprint requires and there appears to be a extra bank of capacitors installed underneath.

There aren’t any gravity systems fitted into escape pods and your not even sure how to recreate them your self.

This would theoretically work but the gold would quickly melt away leaving cloth.

How quickly does the cotton reaction occur when the goo starts to get through the outer gold layer, does it cancel out the corrosive effects on the outer gold layer before it completely breaks down, or does the gold get eaten away entirely before the cotton starts neutralizing it? How does the gold hold up compared to other forms of metal?

So the SUPERPACMAN only puts out as much power as the PACMAN. (If I remember right my current power load is 3MWs, and the reactors only put out 2MWs.)
