Been wanting an explanation why he was able to work at this prison despite it seeming like a poor idea to have a normal guy in charge of inmates at a women's ability user prison, and I can't say I'm too happy with this explanation. I guess it's hinting that they just need people since volunteering was all it took (plus the normal guard qualifications I assume,) but without them saying more than him volunteering it just feels a bit empty.

Also can't say I'm a fan of them being childhood friends. Easily explains her feelings for him, but was kinda hoping it was going for the angle of him falling for her while watching over her as a guard.

Plus, wasn't her incident only about half a year ago? Was he already on the path of being a prison guard, or is it that easy?

Thx for the chapter! Page 18 "You ARE my first love" didn't checked the raws but I'm pretty sure she still love him and I don't think the past form (た) is being used most certainly tense or te form (て) which means it's still ongoing heh
