I get that Riku can be a bit frustrating but he is constantly comparing himself to Takt who in his eyes has it all. It's hard to break free from that kind of mentality.

That being said Riku should have recognized his feelings for Shizuku earlier and both girls should have been outright direct/open with Riku to begin with.

All in all we have another chapter where it seems like progression is being made but literally does not feel like it all.
