I am incredibly excited to see how she tackles this one because she has the capacity for stories that don't rely Fully on comedy but hasn't gone all the way quite yet, and this makes me even more excited to see how Karashi and Hikaru measure up after all this time

i take it as he wants Akane to use a dramatic/sad story instead of a funny one? good instruction tbh. she wants to learn Shinigami, right? and that story is definitely not the funny type

I love when the story beats are hard to predict, it can’t be “God of Death” because th is is the test to lean it, and it probably can’t be her dad’s “Shibahama” because that’s a later arc, and she can’t perform “Shiwaiya” the same way as Shomei which is for laughs… something like reworking the story her own way but with the same perfection
