Akane Retrieval arc.............
she's conceded before that Issho was at least somewhat fair to judge Shinta for relying partially on the audience's pity in his last performance, but it was Shinta's weakness that also allowed for such a moving performance of Shibahama that showed his gratitude to the family he worked so hard to impress
I think Akane could definitely "learn" Shibahama as she is now and create something technically beautiful but, I don't think she'll really have the story down until she lets herself show the same kind of weakness that made her father's art so special. That's the art she loves, after all
also that Hikaru panel is really good lmao, poor Taison

Given how bad Akane is at communicating. She likely doesn't mean she won't be coming back, only she isn't coming back yet because she wants to learn something from Issho. What is it that he sees in Rakugo that she can barely glimpse. From what I got, Akane knows Issho is deep in the well, and she knows where he is, how deep the rabbit hole goes... only she needs directions. And I think this is her trying to leech off of Issho. That said, I think she might be so awestruck by the distance between the two that she thinks that the only other goalpost she has before her is him, everyone else is just a distraction. She might just be lost too, and maybe even tunnel-visioned. I wonder if Akane might need a reminder by Shiguma or maybe even Maikeru.
Whatever the case may be, I think her strategy id definitely to take something from Issho. She won't go back to Shiguma until she has stolen the art from Issho. This might be a long arc for her. One that might actually set her back for a while as she tries to emulate Issho, like those before, where she has shined so bright only to screw up later and make everyone think she was a one hit wonder... again.
