I want to remind people who defend this translation and the person behind it the term "Gratuitous". Yes, you're doing it for free. Yes, you spend your time and energy on this activity. BUT, you should've been ready for this. Or at least expect this kind of reaction. The fan-translation scene is a labour of love and respect. And it shows in a work by the other group, and they are still continue doing it. Looking at your reaction I dont think you did it out of love for the manga or for the people who want to read it. I think you did this unnecessary work for self-pleasure, and considered it good. However, even volunteers work have standarts. And it's completely normal, its a common sense. Even a free labour can bring harm.

People would be fine with a simply typeset AI translation if it were chapter 1 of some obscure series that needs attention or a series that hasn't been updated in years and is obviously dropped. Sniping one that's actively being worked on is always going to be a faux pas. Any reader who's seen a high quality group get shouldered off a manga by a low effort speed scanner isn't going to be on board.
And I don't know how defenders think calling the rest of us entitled babies who should be grateful for slop is going to change our minds...

I can already tell from the AI used in the first page on credits that you have no respect towards the medium. Using any AI upscale on Hiro's work is a complete disgrace towards his artwork especially when it ruins his clean line work. The respect the other group gives towards Hiro's writing and art is worth any wait compared to what this group has tried to accomplish. Maybe learn to keep the AI out of this medium and then maybe youll gain some respect.

Just tried to do the chapter since it's taking way too for other groups but I didn't expect this much hate. Ig nowdays the fans in fan translation want the same qualiy & service as official release or from a a very professional scans and still want to read it for free. It's like not a single mistake can be forgiven.


I get the quality might be a bit bad but not that much. Criticism is fine but hatred... Also my advice is if you guy's can't say anything good then atleast don't say anything that spreads hate towards a team/group and just keep your mouth shut. I personally don't really care too much about TS, as long as the TL is passable, so your argument about standards doesn't hold here, because we're not even complaining about "official" standards (which, to no one's surprise, aren't always that great either)

That being said AI can do some really good things, one example being translating series that otherwise would go on to be neglected
Also in general English people are very picky, be thankful you speak English and can read these series in the first place, as opposed to only speaking some other language
Ultimately I see this release as a troll to rile people up and it works because people are so bitchy and whiny
