I guess it's nice that they spun the series getting axed into a happy ending, but I sorta hoped that they'd just leave it as "haha she got run over by a truck, the end". I know no author would do that so as to burn their bridge with their publisher, but it'd still make me happy.

I'd heard that it was a planned ending, not an axe... It definitely feels like one though, lol. A lot of authors just aren't good at finishing stories. At least the final chapter was good.

Yeah I'm not convinced this was an axe either. I think the author was just done with the story they were telling, and couldn't really figure out a graceful way to wrap things up. Still worked out in the end, but dang, did the previous chapter leave me feeling angry.

The ending was very weak, but I still really liked this series. Still baffling that they off screened the first time they were intimate. Also not really liking the resolution that Lily just becomes a human now, to avoid dealing with the devil contract. RIP to Lily's dad I guess.

I don't think this manga needed to be /super/ long but it could definitely use another volume 😭😭 I think lily fully becoming human is an interesting resolution to her coming to understand more human emotions through her love for Mai (like jealousy) but I cant really appreciate it with how rushed it is....ah well, as long as lilymai are happy together I guess it's fine. huh? i feel like there was such an emotional jump, from light to dark and then light again. i mean i guess what happened in the gaps is implied & lightly touched on, but still feels unfinished and unintentional.

Peak ending on my 25th birthday and the author gave me more questions than answers.

At least there wasn’t some angst with Mai forgetting her lovely girlfriend and the “she’s two souls in one” explanation makes a lot of sense because we’ve known she is not a regular existence since the start. And with Mai probably being half angel (with the hints of devil powers not working on her and the angel Lily’s mom met being suspiciously familiar), this means Lily could use her half magic soul to help another half magic soul and both Heaven and Hell saw the preciousness of Yuri and said “you are safe”.

the truck drama didn't effectively change anything besides making her hair white. and turning her human was honestly a cop-out this series really didn't need and kind of went against what the whole thing was about anyway. we didn't even get any sex :/ blebhhh
