dude, if you read enough isekai story then you should know how common it is to isekai into a villain.
at least he already set up death flag on himself so he has actual reason to became stronger, unlike many "reborn as villaness" series where the resolution is just not piss off anyone.

This stuff is so over done, the MC being someone other than the Hero is probably more of a cliche than regular isekais.

I'm not harping on the idea, but the fact that these supposedly 'knowledgeable' main characters are so shocked by these cliche developments. It's equally as frustrating when they are surprised by others being isekai'd in the world as well - as if such an obvious thing would never cross somebody's mind.
I'm probably just being a sourpuss right now, haha.

I don't judge the guy for panicking and failing to realize he's already changed the plot. That's standard-issue villain writing. I judge him for being a filthy casual isekai enjoyer who doesn't even know villain isekai are getting more common.
