I think the manga has okay pacing but it does get a little bit too fast or slow at certain points.

This chapter really didn't showcase much about the academy or dungeon except for like a few pages and backgrounds. So I don't think a lot of thought went into the world-building or at least it looks that way.

If anybody has read the novel then could you please tell how good it is going to be without giving major spoilers?
