I know that, for comedy purposes, the MC will probably end up doing a bunch of good things, but I think that the "saint who's actually a villain" is one of the most unnerving kinds. Everyone thinks he's a good person, and he often does good things, but underneath is manipulative, cold, and ruthless. And stabs you in the guts with a warm smile on his face. Then watches as you bleed out with the same smile, reminiscing about your long friendship.
