Your entire situation reminds me of I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace translation. in the earliest stages translator (LazyCat) translate one chapter once a day then one for each Ko-Fi, it's escalate quickly into temporarily changing name (OverworkFeline) and translating all available at the moment chapters (around 800) and there still left big amount of donations.

They haven't really explained how the magic works, but it seems to be presented as being built up of the base four elements. (Except maybe healing? But if it's a five/six system with light/dark that would make sense)

So if the four elements aren't just their literal forms but also things associated with them (Earth being spatial locations and wind being movement) I could see it.
