rereading all of this, they translated the part about NPC names but never explained any of it, so for those unfamiliar w/ the Japanese language:

 Anessa - from 姉 (ane) meaning "older sister"
 Imola - from 妹 (imouto) meaning "younger sister"
 Givona - from 義母 (gibo) meaning "stepmother"

so truly NPC names LOL
