The prince was suffering from profound loneliness? That's the excuse for his behavior? She was too in her first life? That's her excuse? Really? Participating in the Prince's inner circle and being his royal cockhouse was out of loneliness?
Did the author forget the beginning where she said everyone loved her as a cute child so she became selfish lookist who did whatever she wanted in her first life? Couldn't think of a better reason for her to still feel uneasy like the state secrets that got her hanged?


We don't really know why he was a jerk, but I feel like the fact he was popping up at tea parties as a girl and being bullied was an implication that MC bullied him too in her first life.
Anyways, she probably would have walked to her death regardless. There's no way she wouldn't have friction with him because of her established selfish personality.

Scheming? Knowledge? She was just something the prince bounced on his waist that happened to learn state secrets and accidentally leak them. She didn't start studying seriously until her second life.
Who knows why she doesn't have at least a guard or two and some servants while at the orphanage though.

Wouldn't be surprised if she's been going for a long time with it being safe, plus she might've convinced them to stay away because guards would scare the children

But aside from that I do like that this is a genuine villainess who has an epiphany and uses her new life for good. She wasn't just labelled a bad person, she was a bad person and changed for the better.

Yeah would love to see that one day too! An Otome story where the Reincarnate MC wasn't the "Villainess" but the regretful ML who after he killed her, his life went downhill as his "other choice" the Heroine "wasn't so good" and things got worse and worse as he found out REVELATIONS about his "dead Ex" he never knew before. So when he got REINCARNATED to his youth when he first met her, he strives to assure she doesn't end up the same way. And through it sees a side of her that made him feel like a FOOL for missing (cause the Heroine he chose had alot of sides to her he HATED AND LOATHE that he only saw AFTER they married, no making her a VILLAINESS, maybe Jerkass as she still pursued a relationship with someone else's fiancee, not that he isn't guilty of it either) and discovers despite her HAUGHTNESS, she was a BETTER fit for Queen then his "other choice" (Classic: "Commoner common sense has NO PLACE in Royalty as turns out trying to expect a Priest to know how to do Heart Surgery is the height of stupidity one can reach!")

(Funny enough, I think there IS a Manga/Novel on this, where the PRINCE character ends up getting VISIONS of the OG timeline and works with his Fiancee, the Villainess the prevent it, of course the STORY tries to ADJUST to the fact he's not playing ball to make them BOTH the "Villainess Couple" and his younger brother "taking his role as the PRINCE character, even if not CROWN PRINCE" but their preparations as the story is on them growing up together and building foundations is taken into account! By the time the STORY begins, well the Novel version had multiple routes! One route has him FUCK UP and cause the story to "be played straight" meaning he FELL for the Heroine and the Villainess is not only heartbroken, but he acts a fool that he's forced to watch EVERYTHING they build be taken from him, including HER to his despair, it's assumed he foolishly tried to "have his cake and eat it" and lost BOTH! One timeline had them be DEFEATED AND EXILED, but still together and STILL living good by the choices they made before the game story helping them get by in comfort together! And the main timeline of the story where they basically PREVENT the BAD ENDING which in hindsight wasn't that bad! Don't ask me the name though, I'm STILL finding all those GOOD Manga/Manhua again! Sadly I use to read all these things on Mangakakalot before it's shut down! Forcing me onto MangaPark and MangaDex and making me REGRET not opening a Profile on this site specifically SOONER as a "Just in case" as this also means when I DO find the good ones again....I have to read them from SCRATCH ESPECIALLY IF THEY WERE LONG as hell! LOL! The one thing I DO remember, is the Prince's body guard had the "Shark Teeth Thug with a Heart of Gold" Look!)

But I still wish to read it fully! What I displayed was from spoilers of the Novel which is finished! I do remember the Prince Bodyguard had shark teeth! But the concept of the story drew me because I had just got finished with "Fiancee Observation" which peaked my interest in ALTERNATIVE stories where the focus ISN'T on the Reincarnate, but the characters around them (The other is that one that follows the DAUGHTER of a regressor, the one where her mother regresses and marries the Emperor, now hyper focus on making up for being a bad mother, both in the current timeline and the last one that resulted in the Daughter's death! And then I found a NEW one where the main character is a child, but basically the FMC of the story she's in actions resulted in three Yandere Male Leads causing so much damage that her older sisters died, and she herself was taken captive and forced to be the FMC Maid! Story starts RIGHT when her "memories of the story" came and after meeting the FMC as a child....the FMC just dies, falling off the boat their on to her death, meaning her FEAR of the OG story happening is gone......instead the three CRAZY ML have now ended up with her SISTERS, making them all her BIL's which as you can guess, is a source of comedy and drama for her as only SHE knows how they were like! So far it seems to go under the belief the OG FMC also knew the future and had bonded with her, wanting to make things right for her who lost EVERYTHING because of three doofus obsession with her that she "may or may not" have faked her death, as it happened AFTER meeting her and then hearing FMC say she hopes to always be with her family! Implying her other self might have said that to the OG FMC who saw the chance to help her "Fulfill" that wish by removing HERSELF the INSTIGATING EVENT that lead to her losing her family and then being TERRORIZED by her loony Reverse Harem from the picture....though fate DAMN WELL assured she would still be in contact with the ML.....via them getting with her sisters....the ones who DIED because of their actions in the "OG Timeline".....must be weird having three guys who terrorized and treated you like shit now trying hard to get your young self to call them "Big brother" and get close to you to make a good impression on your sisters....who they killed, not DIRECTLY but her sisters still DIED from the events CAUSED by the OG Story!)

The observation log is getting an anime too iirc, I liked Scarlet's mad dog princess getting an anime so I have hopes for it( ik the name of the anime but I love her nickname a little too much).

By Scarlet, you mean "May I ask for one final thing!" Yeah I loved that to, waiting patiently for more chapters (Currently going to see the Demon King about getting her Saintess Blessing back and maybe punch him out for it in the first place, even though it's going the "humans are the real monsters" with how the Humans attacking the Demons feels no different then "Rape, Pillage and Plunder" they do to each other LOL! Hope it goes that far, I do love the "Heroine" and her DYNAMIC with Scarlet, namely her OBSESSION with trying to FORCE Scarlet to "be her Villainess and suffer the Villainess ending of losing everything" and her ANNOYANCE that Scarlet looks the part.....but her whole "send you flying" always is a laugh!)

And yeah I know about the Anime, so HAPPY they finished it BEFORE announcing, I hate when they make an anime and then ask for a "slowdown" to catch up! I NEED MY NEXT CHAPTERS DAMNIT! But yeah Fiancé Observation developed my love of Isekai that don't focus on the "Protagonist character" (In this ones case, it's funny seeing the FMC end up being "the FL" while the "ML" ends up the protagonist!) I was curious how they'd get together with how Cecil acts, and well I wasn't disappointed, his falling for her made alot more sense (I like ROMANCES when thy make IN-STORY sense like the characters are around and get to know each other LONGER then a WEAK to be lovers or potential lovers! In Cecil's case, it DID start)

And helps the Prince pretty much SAID what we ALL felt about "Reverse Harems" in these settings....they wouldn't work, and alot of these Otome stories make it a focus what he SAID to Bertia what would happen to the men and "the so-called Heroine" in that scenario (They'd be laughing stocks, and the girl a SLUT! Shown BEAUTIFULLY in that one about the Villainess incarnating 24 hours before her "bad ending!" It's sequel does the same but has the "Heroine" struggling to UNFLAG the Flags her OG self ROSE to get the Reverse Harem because turns out, it's a SECRET "BAD ENDING TO THE EXTREME WITH YANDERE" if I remember straight! But yeah, idiot Heroine never realized she developed a BAD rep as a "Vixen trying to ruin the Kingdom" by her actions! And I just LOVED the ending where the SEQUEL of the OG Work was still kept INTACT, with the only change being the FMC and her ex's brother )

And lets not forget the GOAT that is "Duke's Daughter!" (A series that DESERVES an Anime, or at least it's manga FINISHED DAMNIT!) which also did the same, actually put a LENS on concepts in a OTOME that get overlooked, like "What REALLY happened after the end" or "how those stupid CONDEMNATION events would REALLY be viewed as the PRINCE Fiancee is AIRING his affair PUBLICALLY!" Or "how the Heroine doesn't look so HEROINE/SAINTLY when she's going for MULTIPLE MEN and specifically WHY she would" (in her case, because she's really a SPY for an enemy Kingdom that WANTS to see it crumble! I just LOVED how the story SHOWED her, both her "Fake" side that was drawn different to illustrate how ALIEN she feels to her environment, and the points when she's "her real self" where she's drawn in the same style as everyone else, and isn't so FLATTERING! Like when one of her "Fishes" loses USEFULNESS, she's no longer "sweet and nice," more ANNOYED and "not so sweet" where she was ENERGETIC before, at that point, she looked like she was ready to KILL for him "Disturbing her beauty sleep!" And it was interesting on WHY she hated the FMC, she was jealous on how she had EVERYTHING, and in a way, acts like a FOIL/EVIL COUNTERPART to FMC Maid and Knight who also have similar background to the "heroine" till FMC saved them when they were young! She even tried to TEMPT her knight from her under that basis, only for him to note how she is a "dark reflection" of what would have been HIM if FMC never aidded and befriended him and gave him an ALTERNATIVE then desiring revenge against his sire which the Heroine was OFFERING! And best part was she wasn't even the REAL big bad, her Spymaster was, and I liked the man and admit, happy he LIVED and escaped, he was savvy, his acts against the FMC wasn't malicious or petty like the Heroine and her Ex, more because of business, he needed to weaken her Kingdom, and her actions were in the way of that, but when he knew the getting was good, he got the fuck out! Unlike the Heroine who FORGOT that her aim was NEVER to be Royal, but RUIN the Kingdom, so FALLING for the Idiot Prince for real and NOT leaving when it's CLEAR he's about to LOSE and she will be executed alongside him in disgrace as a Revealed Spy and Sabotur! I'm not shocked he cut his losses and abandoned her, he warned her and it's funny watching her despair that "he was DEAD serious about LEAVING as she loses HARD)

There was also that "Hans" one I love to re-read that got me to love Fiancé Observation! Basically it was about a Town Guard of a fantasy world named Hans who meets multiple "Japanese Isekai" and helping them to ADJUST to their new environment as otherwise their ignorance would! It was a good read. And "Death Ability" where it LAMBSHADES why so many Japanese are quick to "embracing KILLING and FIGHTING" by just saying "it's the powers/cheats that make them act this way!" And finally answered a question I've asked since my FIRST Isekai, specifically when the people SUMMON the Hero...."what would happen if they summoned an Eldritch Abomination?" (This was also when I started reading HP Lovecraft LOL) as the story ILLUSTRATE just how TERRIFYING of a "Big Fish" the protagonist is (and just how funny how TWO women are the only things keeping him from ENDING all existence by ACCIDENT and NO MATTER how "God like" the Isekai Protagonist is, they can NEVER overcome DEATH itself despite being able to KILL GODS because "how do you beat an abstract?!"

What can I say, I LOVE ME a well (or competent enough) deconstruction, it's why Shield Hero remains the GOAT for me! And sorry again for the Tangent full WALLS of Text ahead of time LOL
