This sounds different than the LN and WN spoilers I've read, is this a fourth alternative or did I read bad spoilers?
WN, she supposedly hated our MC for no reason (Just wasn't fleshed out)
LN, the spoilers claim PTSD (mostly the grinding adding to the terror) led her to backstab MC
Anime, the plot controls the heroine to complete important events
this is probably the first time where all the media could end differently despite having mostly similar events

Yes the artist has said on Twitter that the manga will be taking an alternative approach, with consent by both the original author and the editorial department.
One thing I find really interesting is that in the afterword of LN Vol. 4, the original author said that Vol. 4 was basically a response to how the manga artist change in the adaptation of Alicia's personality.
So we have the manga artist going in a different direction from the original author, the anime adapting the manga artist's adaptation up to about just before this point since the manga hadn't gotten this far yet, so they took another completely different bent. And the original author coming up with new ideas based on the manga adaptation.

Looking at this direction, I think the manga will have the happiest ending for all of these characters with Alica getting strong enough that she can see through the darkness and see things as they are. I wonder if that direction means Alica could even save the Demon Lord from their hatred
Quite frankly I just want everyone to get a happy ending

That's neat. It had looked like the manga was setting up to do the usual role reversal where Alicia falls into despair like the original Yumiella. Compared to some of the more common villainess isekai tropes, I think both plotlines could be handled well and be interesting.

In this story, having Alicia fall into despair because of outside influences would be a lot better than the more hammy "heroine is an isekaied greedy/selfish so-and-so" or "otome game MC is a poorly written not-actually-benevolent person when you think about it" (if only because they've been done to death). It makes double-use of the original Yumiella's descent, made interesting because of the mundanity and realness of how it develops: social expectations, bullying, and casual disregard for suffering.

But having Alicia instead be uplifted by Yumiella is also interesting, because Yumiella is (deliberately or accidentally) counteracting those outside influences. It retells a more positive story that speaks of how the problems that led to Yumiella's despair can be solved not just by being overwhelmingly stronger than those who would abuse you, but by having good friends who help, encourage, and empower you to stand confidently.

I prefer it if Alicia stay as a kind character like this. I'm tired with isekai stories where FMC reincarnated as villain and turn out the original protagonist that supposed to be kind and pure is actually an evil 2 face or something.
Agreed, way better.
Also, personally, I find that the "Uh, the good heroine is akshually evul" versions kinda makes the entire genre seem like it misses its own point.
