Sorry for the delay, this is the latest chapter for now. As for my plan to pick up this series, it seems like I won't be able to do that anymore. I lost my babysitting gig, which is my main source of funding for college expenses, and my Ko-fi got reported, resulting in my account getting banned. I need to recall the earliest memories about this manga because I totally forgot how she got treated within her family.
Most similar manga like this is either the family ended up accepted her, or they were thrown into jail quite early. We are pretty much quite far in the story already so it is surprising to put the arc of families tried to assassinate her after she is known to be the strongest person in the world with connection to prince and saint.

While her maid might be wrong, Yumeilla understood perfectly that she is loyal working under her dad. She just need to change her master and everything is ok. Hiring new maids won't guarantee you not getting another assassin. At least Rita understood that she could never kill her new master.

i still don't understand why she can let go of the maid. sure, her sister is a hostage but it looks as if she doesn't feel any guilt after trying to poison our fmc

Basically she is unable to feel threatened cause she is virtually unkillable. She only got upset when it was the guy that risked to be hit. So basically for her is like a prank, or some minor nuisance.
Also, she is truly that unthreatening. Despite her level up obsession, if it's not about monsters able to respawn endlessly, she is really unwilling to hurt anyone. And if she do, she patch them right afterward. She is truly the opposite of a dark lord, more like an angel.

On the topic of her father, I want to remind you all of a few things. Her parents have not met her in close to 2 decades now. She has black hair, which is looked down on. And finally, she is aligned with the King and his faction, while her parents are in the opposite faction. This explains why MC is being targeted. Doesn't change that it's a death wish on her parents side.

Right, I forgot the key info that her parents are in the anti-royal faction. If the alternative is to accept political defeat (which may as well mean death in less comfy mangas), they might as well attempt to kill her no matter how suicidal it is.

To answer everyone else regarding the dad and why she didn't punish the maid:

Spoiler: Story Spoiler

Both her mom and dad hated her from the beginning because of her black hair. They didn't expect anything from her and just wanted to marry her so that they could get some wealthy son into their family. Unfortunately for them they got Yuumelia as a daughter who is the strongest person in existence currently. Because she is getting too powerful with royal family supporters (of course she is not as she is quite neutral but that does not prevent others from seeing her like that) they decided the best course of action would be to outright murder her.

Unfortunately for them it's Yuumelia, and this ended with her becoming the head of the house after threatening both of them with black hold inside a closed room. For the rest of the story her mom and dad are still alive but without any titles and confined to their capital mansion.

As for the maid - she was there for her since she started school and looked after her, never judging her for who she was. In addition to this bond she is also not a person that will outright punish someone who follows orders while being blackmailed. So she not only first secured her little sister's safety before facing her parents but she also have her maid continue serving her after she officially became duchess or countess (sorry, I forgot her title).

All in all, Yuumelia is awesome and so is anime show. If you didn't watch it so far - give it a go, it is a blast.
