I feel like I've read this chapter already, but it was missing on MD... was it uploaded and later deleted?
There were a number of chapters of this manga done by No Group Scanlation, dunno when exactly they started, but wouldn't be surprised if Ch 16 was one of them. They got bopped from uploading this manga on MD because they thought it'd be funny to have a credits page based on a racist slur joke, and their chapters for this series aren't here anymore.

Huh, I see. Thanks for the rundown.

I don't see "nagger" in the racial slur database. Perhaps you're mnemonically incapacitated or you've been misinformed.

Are you perhaps familiar with a regex?
Tl;dr, "words that are similar but slightly different to words on the naughty list, that are used in ways similar to words on the naughty list in lieu of those naughty words" would get treated the same as "words on the naughty list"

kinda like how you see people using "regarded" in place of a certain slur that's made a resurgence lately.

Regex?

You probably meant to say "minced oath."

Which... by definition erases the profane essence of the word.

If you don't believe me: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/minced_oath

You can only pretend to be offended to a minced oath.

Regex is the wrong tool for this. You'd probably use something like levenshtein distance.
Unless you mean to imply that /n[aeiouy]gger/ is a sensible censoring regex.

Oh, they actually got banned for that joke? Though I was surprised they tried to get away with that here, considering it's basically like reddit and full of pearl clutchers.

Im okay with you for using mtl but google translate is not it man.
Try using an ai that accepts pictures and send him this prompt with it:

Role: You are a professional manga localizer and editor.
Task: Analyze the attached image(s). Extract the Japanese text, translate it into natural, high-quality English, and help me place it correctly.
Process:
Visual Mapping: Since I cannot read Japanese, you must describe exactly where each line of text belongs (e.g., "Top right square bubble," "Small text next to the girl's head," "Sound effect in the background").
Translation & Localization: Translate the text. Focus on natural English flow and character voice rather than literal translation.
Cultural Check: If there is a pun, idiom, or specific Japanese cultural reference, explain it briefly in a "Translator's Note" and provide the best localized version that keeps the joke/meaning intact for an English audience.
Proofreading: Ensure the final English grammar is perfect and fits the tone of the scene.
Output Format:
Please structure your response like this for every bubble/text element:
Location: [Visual description of bubble/text location]
Speaker: [Who is talking]
English Text: [The final translated text to paste]
Note: [Any cultural context, jokes, or nuance explanations if needed]

Thanks for the translation its still really good!
