Nice! I have a sweet spot for falsely accused "villianess" comeuppance stories, but I think this is the first I've read where the villiainess becomes queen by marrying the prince's guardian/parent.

Closest I've read was a oneshot in one of these anthology, with the villainess marrying the kings brother (ex's uncle) and them for some unknown reason becoming new king/queen despite the fact the brother should be aging out of the position at approximately the same time as the king, being brothers. Villainess in that wasn't framed or anything though, it was just prince going "I want true love"
