it not that exactly. she were force to work and stay in the mine together with people that fucking hate her without anyone give a shit about her fate. so rape and torture just come naturally.
still while i prefer her fate in WN for people like her. i think this is better for manga, both due to more people watching it
and also it give me less bad taste about it.

Yo that's wild. Is the novel worth reading, disgusting punishments aside?
The WN? No. Unless someone has done a proper TL of it (it's been MTL'd), it's a pretty short standard WN affair with all that implies with a very messy structure as half of it is post-ending side-stories to tie up the threads.

The manga is a very good adaptation with added details where it's been needed (and where extra detail is greatly appreciated). There is also a LN according to a photo posted earlier but I personally don't have first-hand with that to say if it's a good adaptation.

What a read. This was a story I really enjoyed from start to finish, always excited when the next chapter released. An Semi-Isekai story so unique in it's plot and where the scheming and pay-off felt absolutely ecstatic. Now it's over. If the manga ever gets released in my country as a physical copy or even get an anime, I will surely support it with my money.

It's fun in concept, but not a great read because of MTL, and there's a lot it skims over to hurry to Pina's downfall. Fr ex, Thorne isn't even a character, there's just a side mention of a nameless, faceless shopkeeper NPC whose shop Remilia closes to cut off the cheat items.

Me in the middle left panel of page 6...

This was so great. I've said it before but I'll say it again, if the anime adaptation ends up being based directly on the novel instead of the manga due to companies quibbling over rights and being greedy, it'll be a crime against humanity and a clear sign of the decline of Japan's otaku industries. This manga is just SO good visually...

All this time, I thought that Remilia actually had a master plan to bring Emi back so that she could be the one to marry Angel. Didn't realize it was because she felt she could trust a fellow Emi stan. So I guess she's letting Angel marry her fake self and biding her time while trying to bring back Emi, huh. Welp, the way she's so twisted is exactly why she's awesome. I'm hoping we'll see both Emi and the original Pina in the epilogue chapter. (An actual explanation on why they reincarnated inside an otome game would be a nice bonus too, but I know that's usually glossed over in otome isekai.)

I remember reading the manga for a couple chapters when it first came out and then reading the novel out of curiosity. The manga adaptation is way, way, way better at fleshing things out (not to mention the art is STUNNING. im still not over the creepy god designs and nightmare sequences. fantastic work). The side characters are so fun it's great. Erhasha and Syl (erhasha's whole entourage, really) have a great dynamic that'd be interesting in a sidestory of its own. It's been a great publication!!! Excited for the epilogue.

This is one of those mangas I’ll be re-read and still enjoy it—like how I rewatch Overlord every few months or years.

It’s just that good.

I really hope there’s more to this. Especially with Emi and the real personality of Star Maiden.

I don't really buy Remilia loving Angel, I think it's just a weird rationalization/mental gymnastics because author wasn't ballsy enough to have a solitary lesbo ending, 7/10.
While I would welcome a Yuri ending, the way Remilia loves Emi is beyond mere romantic love between one person of another, it's a mix of romantic love, friendship love, familial love, and a selfless and unconditional love.

Remilia doesn't just adore Emi, she worships her. She views her as the paragon of kindness, the person who saved her from absolute darkness and the would-be savior for everyone else as well if not for Pina's interference.

You can see on the very first chapter that Remilia doesn't really have any sort of desire to keep Emi to herself romantically. Emi was wondering if getting betrothed to Willard was fine or not since he's supposed to be Remilia's love interest, but Remi says that she doesn't mind at all as long as she can achieve happiness.

If Emi could speak and wishes to stay with Remilia forever as her lover, Remilia would happily oblige. But Emi can't speak, nor did she showed any sort of desire for Remilia romantically either before she fell asleep. So Remilia prioritized Angel, as she thinks that he's the one person who can truly love Emi's Remilia and make her happy.

And Angel's love for Remilia isn't really one-sided. As she had said in this chapter herself, if Angel can love this side of Emi's Remilia, then she can learn to love him as well, just that he'd probably never be her number one.

FYI this isn't really some sort of foreign thing, I don't think it's really any different as to how a mother would love her children more than her husband. Does she place her children as her number one love? Yes. Does that mean she hates her husband? Of course not, she still loves him very much.

Wait she never returned the armor to the blacksmith lady, did she?
She returned it through the Flame Goddess' little sister when came to visit to watch the musical play. Check chapter 18 page 12, panel 2, dialogue bubble 2. (Can't show screenshot rn on mobile.)

There was no need to retell me the story, as per the Angel comment, I stand by what I said: it's poor writing.

It must have been 15 years since I started watching anime and reading manga, and 6 years since I came across the villainess genre and I must have read so many works of this genre but I believe that this is the first time that I have read the end of a story, either I give up out of weariness or the series is definitely on hiatus or abandoned by its creator. In any case, thank you for the translation guys and I really hope that we will have more short stories like this with less than 100 chapters of which we will get the end of the story...

Oh man, watching Remilia's flashback with Emi reminds me of what she truly lost, all those what-could-have-been moments with Emi that would've happened if the four capture targets weren't being such stupid jerks.

The dead warden's son took me by surprise since I don't remember it being mentioned anywhere before this, thankfully we were provided the full context in this chapter.

That's Willard's former secretary, he knew Willard was being an idiot and tried to advise him but Willard doubled down and told him to mind his own business. While he was sleeping from overwork, Remilia used her magic spiders to show him how good things would've been if Willard wasn't a moron, and how Willard was willing to discard Remilia like trash even after her years of loyalty and dedication. And then he wakes up, disappointed by reality, got mad, and then went, "screw it, I'm taking a vacation," and left all his work behind, ruining Willard's rep even more. (It's chapter 19 if you want to reread it)

Edit: Having reread chapter 19 myself, I say Willard's punishment was way too light. Seriously, screw that guy.
Honestly Willard had a good punishment since he now is a noble without any influence and lost the love of his life in remi with the knowledge he betrayed her himself
