Why is the publication status ongoing and not completed if the RAWs are finished? anybody know?
Probably already explained by multiple people , but from what i know from the artist (not the author), she said there's only this chapter and epilogue left. Via Twitter

True, she has been acting a lot nicer than she actually is this whole time. And I mean A LOT. But it's not like everything between them has been a lie, and if angel saw what she was actually thinking at any given moment or if he knew that she was putting on a nice face, at this point I don't think he'd care. Remillia loving him definitely isn't forced or sudden, she's liked him for a while I think. At least enough that she'd been thinking about it for a while. So the relationship is founded on a lie, but it's pretty healthy nonetheless. If remillia and emi got body swapped after angel knew them then that would be problematic I think, because he didn't fall in love with remillia. But here, he definitely wouldn't care and neither would anyone else I don't think.
I didn't get the impression that Remillia deeply cared for Angel before this chapter. She'd been thinking about their relationship because she knew Angel was going to eventually propose and had been putting it off (intentionally, as part of her mask). Before his speech at the end, I got the feeling she was looking for words to turn him down. Angel always seemed more a tool she used towards her revenge then someone she viewed more than a friend.

Yo that's wild. Is the novel worth reading, disgusting punishments aside?
Yeah, the translation isn't so bad and it tried to explain why Will and the others are still at fault despite being under fake Pina's influence. It even goes into Will's perspective.

Thanks for the chapter!

Typo & edit suggestions: @lin_tvdchick
  • p32 settled things up -> settled things
  • p34 who died as a villainess -> who had died as a villainess
  • p34 who died as a villainess, and even though -> who died as a villainess. And even though [<-> run-on sentence]
  • p35 share happiness with you -> share this happiness with you

Have been following this one for more than a year now, a heartfelt Thank You to the translation team. Absolutely loved this masterpiece and hope we can see Emi's and the original Star Maidens ending in the epilogue and maybe a few short stories?

Well, agree to disagree. We just get different vibes from how she acts I guess.

imo, considering how she loved emi the most (or actually, only loved rmi), any potential romantic partner would never win her love, and angel loving the Emi ver. is the closest remilia will fall in love with someone (calling it love is stretching it even for me).

Absolutely fantastic series, definitely my top three villainess. The way I see the end is that Angel fell in love with the version of herself she made to make Emi proud, and him loving what Emi would have loved made her love him in turn. It's a bit odd but I like it honestly, I think she is a good person at heart as well. Just more suited for revenge haha
And cutting out the SA of Pia at the end seems like the best. Honestly I don't like endings like that, because while it might be realistic, I think the sexual nature just takes it to a different and distracting level. Just keep it at the infidelity.
I hope this artist does a horror series next. They are far too good at drawing horrifying, twisted faces and the creepy lotus god really was freaky.
Hope the actually translate this so I can own it

Incase people didnt get it, in the changed Pina's ending version, a.k.a this manga,

the prison she sent to, the warden of that prison, had a son, and only son, aka the guy with feather from chapter 14,

he stole and embezzled his family's wealth as only hire to woo Pina, but Pina is scamming him. Somehow he died trying to acquire the hypnotic perfume for Pina, it is not clear how he died, its not sure either Remi did this, or (most likely its Pina's doing) tying a loose end by Pina, since he failed to acquire anything or trying to get the truth out once he realize he got scammed,

it is not beneath Pina to do this since she did tried to send assassins to kill Remi back in the early chapters while she was on her way to Demon's territory.
So the likely, to the Warden of that prison, this is very personal, the woman who corrupted his son got delivered there. In this changed ending, Pina's only punishment is to stay in cage, while being covered and offer prayers to prisoner forever until she died. So it implies the rape and torture still or could happen anyway after the warden backstory explained earlier, just not that obvious, remember this manga is not above murder and flashback rape (which what Pina originally planned for Remi).

So yeah
Incase you doubt me about the torture part, early of this chapter, if you didnt realize it, Remi is doing experimental torture for both of the man and woman that got kidnapped and carriage swept down the stream. Thats why near the end of the chapter she's convinced about the soul experiment gonna success with her giving birth, cuz she already experimented on it already.
I don't understand why the warden's son died offscreen? Feels weird you know.

It's been a while since I read it, so I can be wrong. But Pina ending was more brutal in the book.
At first, she was sentenced to death, but Remi plead for her, she then officially sends to labor instead. Her tongue was cut, and she wasn't particularly guarded either, a lot of prisoners are people who got scammed by her, so she quickly became a target of frustration.
Rape, torture, and heal just enough to not die is her new casual day. There were excellent healers put in place to take care of her and make sure whatever the prisoner did, she won't die. She was burned, disfigured and more, but she is still the only woman the prisoners can get, so it continues.

I guess that was too hardcore to show in the manga
Considering her crime for scamming a lot of people with charm potions and almost put a country into bankcruptcy, I still think she deserved it. I might be sounds inhuman, but I really have no sympathies for her.

I feel like dehumanising hard labour is a more fitting punishment for Pina considering that Remilia succeeded because Pina was so lazy, she didn't progress at all through the game
The reason Pina didn't make any progress because Remillia make sure she cannot move outside of castle. Pina cannot move outside the castle without the order of the king. Pina once requested to go outside to the king, but he refused because there are no actual danger that require a Star Maiden to get involve. Remillia already traveled around the world, fixing problem here and there before it become a serious problem and force the kingdom to send out their Star Maiden to solve the problem. Effectively, turn the Star Maiden into invalid and change the public's opinion into thinking the Star Maiden is a harbringer of disaster. Because their country almost collapse because of her.
