@Kaarme I can see this working as a slice of life for some time, tbh; I can't honestly think of a plotline that wouldn't take the focus off the setting or fall into the usual developments of otome isekais, only different because it's a middle-aged man who got reincarnated. Guess we can only wait and see what the author comes up with.

Since the author is actually incorporating this old man's past life experiences into this new world, it's already miles ahead of something like Death March that has no substantial story and a flimsy connection to his past life.
