I hate the Trope that glasses automatically make you ugly.

I hate the paired trope where the friend takes the glasses off and miraculously makes them a non-issue.

Speaking from experience, I need glasses to see clearly, such as to read newspaper or see things in detail. But on generally most of the things that have no need for tiny details spotting, even without glasses I still can see clearly, can work, walk, and drive without problem.
Eyes problem are not as dire as what is shown in anime for comical purpose.

This is where the difference between farsighted and nearsighted comes into play. I have this box on a shelf about 5 feet away, and without my glasses all the text blurs and I can't make the letters out.

In addition to the usual, "MC is not a real villainess" disappointment I'm also disappointed that MC isn't using public opinion for anything.

I looked at MC's previous identity/actions: running a talent agency, manufacturing a scandal for a rival actress, sending rival idols to jail, cyber bullying an idol, and I figured her main skill set was PR and using public opinion to get concrete benefits and that that was how she'd deal with her opponents.

Instead she's just generically competent, and she just has the approval of a bunch of background nobles from the start but never does anything with it.

It sucks because a lot of villainess stories are like this one in that most of the noble student body disapproves of the prince and heroine but nothing ever comes of it and it'd be really cool if a story poked a hole in that and pointed out that at least some of those disapproving students are from families or factions that are powerful enough to pressure the royal family.

I gotta say I was hoping for more actual villainess and less helping people in need. It's just slipping into the same pattern as almost every other "villainess" manga.
The 90's teen movie makeover of taking off her glasses was a bit much too.

No no, not the glasses! You've ruined it!

If she'd just said "let's make you unrecognizable" I'd be more willing to play along for the sake of the takedown, but...even that was too easy. It felt a lot like a mid-tier villainess anthology oneshot.

It's also like, what purpose did the makeover and the gathering they went to even serve?

They spent most of the chapter on that instead of the gambling trap and business deals that actually let her break off the engagement?

It's not like her fiance had a good reputation to begin with.
