I've re-read the chapters more than a couple times and a thought struck me.
How many times are women labeled villainess actually in the right?
Even if their personality and goals are shitty at the start, that doesn't change the fact their partner is committing infidelity (emotionally ot physically) and the other person is going along with even if they know the person is engaged or married.
But it's magically made okay because it's labeled as "True love". Even if the adultery can cause so many problems depending on the standing and character of the other woman, if the marriage was arranged for the good of the kingdom or beneficial, etc.
Sure if nothing happens, the guy actually puts on his big boy pants, talks it out with the villainess and breaks it off (accepting whatever consequences come of it to fix it himself), and the villainess still tries to harm the couple.
That doesn't change the fact that the villainess has the right to be pissed in the moment before.
Adultery isn't "noble" or "true love". Especially if cheaters try to hide from the consequences while plotting and scheming, setting everything else at risk while trying not to lose their benefits and being in their own world.
