I relate to Mikage heavilly. My family has always expected me to fulfill a certain role to the point that it's become a large part of my personality.
It used to feel like trying to blossom in the shadow of your "ideal" self.
I figured it out though. Instead of struggling to imatate a vague, image that was always better than me, I broke down the role into major responsibilities to strive for. Instead of struggling agaist a shadow, it felt more like guiding a sapling's growth with a peice of wire.
I hope Mikage learns the same lesson. Instead of trying to perfectly become her ancestor, she focuses on protecting Hinata.
