I'm really loving this manga, the author's other work 'Freesia' was way too depressing for me. At least I can have a small chuckle when a character is suffering from a mental breakdown in this one, even though its still completely fucked.
ah so they all are villains >,> (Looking at the ending of that chapter...) @Vofuro
Alice might have a thingy to locate/location of another water source to create a new community (Area for humans to commune around)
It is my understanding that no, he didn't kill him. Father shot first and hit the hat on purpose, while Shuu also missed him.
He just walked away and died in the desert from heavy bleeding.
@Nitouryu
I think Shuu probably did shoot his dad, but his current mental state is messing with the flashback/his telling of the story. I mean he saw a bunch of floating fish, found himself standing in the middle a birthday cake and he saw alice who he hadn't met yet on the way to where his dad was, so I wouldn't take what he saw there too literally. Either way he's gone now.
He most definitely killed his dad, you see blood splatters in the last chapter. He started to slip in his memory at that point while telling the story to the woman and she snapped him back into the present.
We know he killed him because he’s said a few times that he knows his father is dead.
I can't help but relate to him on an emotional level. When I was going through puberty I absolutely loathed everyone. I hated their hypocrisies and double standards. How "good" people could play the part in public while bullying others behind closed doors. I hated how manipulative and parasitic those were around me. And how docile and brainwashed their victims were. What hurts the most is receiving the kindness of others, because it completely throws you off and contradicts everything you're used to. Even the most genuine of kindness feels like a bullying tactic at this point in my life.
