Characters like this do serve a purpose, to reinforce the feelings of a member (or both) of the main couple & allow them to demonstrate how solid those feelings are. It’s a bummer for her but she’s a good kid and she’ll bounce back quickly.

Such a purpose is unneeded... the cuteness alone is fine... and we don't need to see how solid the feelings are...

But if a series is a good harem, you go for the harem... if the vanilla is good, then you stick to the vanilla...

You only turn a vanilla into a harem if the relationship isn't that interesting...

I love this manga, but I can't stand when authors add a really sweet character who has unrequited love the entire story. Each chapter with her could have been spent furthering the two main characters relationship, especially with a manga with only 30 chapters.

Even if characters like her are introduced, because a story with no other characters is boring, at least make him/her have a strictly platonic relationship with the MCs.

Same thing happening with the ponkotsu and the shogi manga. I really don't want to see chapters like this.

I am hoping that she will end up with Neko, she looks like a lesbian.
