In the story of Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens, there is a gang of orphans who pit pocket under the direction of a man named Fagin (who is basically under the thumb of a criminal named Bill Sikes).

Basically, the kids (who would look more innocuous) would steal wallets and valuables from peoples' pockets and be able to more easily get away with the crime than an adult.

@biznizz:
I haven't read Oliver Twist, but I recognized your Fagin reference from what I remember of the musical Oliver!

In fact, these lines from Fagin are what I remember most from the play (not counting the oft-quoted "Please, sir... I want some more."):

In this life, one thing counts:
in the bank, large amounts!
I'm afraid these don't grow on trees;
you've got to pick a pocket or two.

Pretty apt for what took place in this particular chapter.

@saintguardian thanks for the chapter!
dayum, edo slammed his back of the head to hard floor just like WWE show! did he survive that? i expect light concussion or brain damage at least. and that should attract crowd around them (or police).
Yeah, especially when he was talking about how dangerous it was last time he showed his moves. I guess he might not actually have slammed the guys head in the pavement, we'll see
