I get Ichi the Killer vibes from this, especially from this newly revealed "target".
This manga is pretty damn fun to read, thanks for the TL!

It's kinda unrealistic, but it's not like this series is pretending to be grounded lol
That's what I'm taking it as as well, I expected it to be grounded and more similar to series like fable and my home hero but that expectation went away by the end of chapter 1, Still enjoying working on it tho and the upcoming stuff is looking even better than what we've seen so far.

I think realism in my home hero went entirely out of the window after
Kubo killed the entire village AND got away. I was so mad after reading that...

Yeah I think the mangaka pretty much made Kubo into a power fantasy. If he made everything that much more grounded, the manga would have been a 10/10 for me, but it broke my immersion into the story too much

Yeah, that's when I dropped the story. I have no problem with suspending my disbelief with outlandish manga like this one, but if a manga proposes to be realistic from the beginning and then violates that without rhyme or reason, I can't deal with the whiplash.

Oh, come on, not even the NSA could erase everything.
Wonder why he didn't leak it to foreign newslets and resources - would be ridiculous for the yakuza to even manage to track all of those possible destinations, much less do something about them. (Though if MC noobed with opsec and worked without a VPN, then it's possible their insiders track him directly from the his ISP, but then it would have been easier to block his further attempts..)

Agreed, nothing that enters the net can be entirely scrubbed, but not like this story is shotting for realism.

They are treating the kokubu like the ultimate criminal organisation, you wait... I won't be surprised if they "imply" that the kokubo actually controls criminal organisations from other countries.

My own theory is that Kokubu is behind those politicians Ojiro started off wanting to kill, and that this will end with the supreme irony of his going full Yamagami on them as he was planning in chapter 1.
