I am writing this after finishing reading ch.9, so I guess these are my thoughts as a first impression.

Tbh, I am a bit torn about this. On one hand you have the historical aspect of how successors during dynasty periods were viewed as, how women were viewed as during those times, and how the heads of the family (for lack of a better word) looked upon the duty to provide an heir. On the other you have a modern day reader, raised in modern times, with views about consent that vastly differ from what was considered acceptable back then.

I love the art and the smut, but I hate the coercion and the FL helplessness. So I am torn about how I feel about this. I will keep reading, but as of right now, it is a bitter pill to swallow.

Also maybe read a book and get informed about other people's opinions and what they think of sexuality. Some people are not comfortable seeing their own body parts in explicit manga so some women prefer yaoi not for fetishizing the gay couple but because they like to read explicit romance stories but can't do that and they get squeamish when they see women like them in it.
That way you won't be an imbecile on the internet who pretends to be holier than thou but instead comes across ad an ignorant little troll.
